Introduction
- We are looking for candidates with 7+ years of experience as Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team, focusing on building, analyzing, and optimizing data-driven insights for our enterprise data platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Data Platform Architect and a team of data engineers, analysts, and report developers to transform raw data into actionable insights and ensure data accessibility for decision-making across the organization. You will play a key role in interpreting data, generating reports, and assisting in building sophisticated analytics solutions that drive business outcomes.
Job Description
- Data Analysis & Insights: Lead the analysis of complex datasets, turning raw data into actionable insights that support business decision-making. Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams (including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders) to gather requirements, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop reporting dashboards and data models.
- Data Quality & Validation: Oversee data quality, ensuring that the data flowing through the platform is accurate, consistent, and reliable. Conduct regular audits and data validation processes to maintain the integrity of the data.
- Data Modeling & Transformation: Collaborate with data engineers to develop data models and optimize the organization’s data warehouse. Perform data transformations using SQL, BigQuery, and other ETL tools to prepare data for analysis.
- Advanced Analytics: Apply advanced analytical techniques, including statistical analysis, regression modeling, and predictive analytics, to generate deeper insights and help identify business opportunities.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting for various business departments, offering data-driven recommendations for operational improvements, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities.
- Optimization & Automation: Work with the team to streamline and automate recurring reports and dashboards. Implement solutions to improve data processing and reporting efficiency.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Document analysis processes, data models, and reporting structures. Establish best practices for data analysis, reporting, and visualization to ensure consistency and efficiency across the team.
Certifications :
- Experience working in a cloud-first environment and familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems (GCP preferred).
- Advanced certifications in data analytics, cloud platforms, or related fields (e.g., Google Professional Data Engineer, Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals).
Primary Skills :
- Strong Data Analytics Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a proven track record in analyzing complex datasets, generating insights, and developing reports and dashboards.
- GCP Experience: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage. Experience working with cloud-based data environments and integrating data from multiple sources.
- Advanced SQL & Data Transformation: Proficient in SQL and working with large datasets in cloud platforms (especially BigQuery). Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation to make data ready for analysis.
- Business Acumen: Strong ability to translate business requirements into data-driven insights and to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
- Programming/Scripting Skills: Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript to conduct advanced analytics or automation tasks is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail in ensuring data accuracy and quality. Ability to troubleshoot data issues and propose solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Secondary Skills :
- Cloud Analytics Tools: Familiarity with other cloud analytics tools such as Apache Beam, Google Cloud Dataproc, or Google Pub/Sub.
- Machine Learning Knowledge: Exposure to machine learning concepts and their application in analytics is a plus. Familiarity with tools like Vertex AI for integrating machine learning with analytics platforms.
- Experience with Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile methodologies for project management and iterative development of analytics projects.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience in healthcare domain to better understand business requirements and data needs.
