Jithin Chakkalakkal, Senior Manager, HR, engaged MBA students at the Digital University Kerala in a session on ‘Navigating HR Roles for Gen Z MBAs in the AI Era’ recently. The session focused on ways to stay ahead in a scenario in which AI is disrupting traditional HR functions, by developing tech-driven HR skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability, bridging the talent gap, and creating real business value as professionals.

The ways of gaining experience through alternative ways like internships, freelancing, industry projects, and certifications were explored. Emerging HR career paths that align with technological advancements were also highlighted, emphasizing the importance of adapting to AI-driven transformation and emerging roles in driving impact as Gen Z MBAs step into the HR domain.
